Before rock bands became popular in Taiwan, the members of BackQuarter, all in their early twenties at the time, came together to begin making Western-style rock. Over ten years have passed since then and the band is now recognized as pillars of Taiwan’s independent music scene. Currently recording a new EP, the band has performed in practically every live house and at every festival in Taiwan, while seeing many changes over the years, including recording for a major label and three times being nominated for the Golden Melody Awards.
「跨越歷年來地下樂團的變遷，四分衛歷經了多次團員的離去及重組，靈魂人物主唱阿山及團長虎神始終堅持走著「四分衛」的音樂道路，堅持以搖滾樂的形式呈現「四分衛」的精神，也隨著時間杷澱及對自我的挑戰，他們的音樂持續進步中，並不斷加入新的音樂元素，讓音樂本質更臻圓融。四分衛的專輯，大都沒有主流公司的太多干涉，還給樂團一個比較接近原來的面貌。從創作、情緒、唱法、內容、都佈滿了張狂的生命力。這樣的態度，正是我們之所以要聽搖滾樂團的動機。 |
