music experience, combining exotic modern dance,
talk-show entertainment, and sizzling rock-and-roll
rhythms. These days, more and more bands are emerging in
the underground music scene, and most take western music
as their models. But the Clippers have taken rock and
roll back to their Taiwanese roots. Mixing East and
West, their music is a unique blend of traditions. They
confront social issues and dilemmas, and, through
