Original Soundtrack To Shiang-Chu Tang's
Movie Composed by Pau-dull
This is pau-dull's first release following his album "Ocean Ho-hai-yan,"
and his first soundtrack. This soundtrack features guitar music
by pau-dull. He uses his guitar to evoke the sounds and feelings
of the ocean. Since much of the film is shot beneath the ocean,
rather than articulating syllables in his vocals, pau-dull hums,
approximating singing underwater.
In addition to pau-dull's guitar, this album also includes a
traditional Taiwanese song with substituted aboriginal dialect
lyrics, a solo saxophone track, and the sound of the waves of
Orchid Island.
"How Deep is the Ocean" is a 16mm documentary. Director Tang
took two years to become integrated with an Orchid Island
village, and documents the life of a local youth, Si-Mamnno |
